Years later and I'm at the exact same issue. I want to display all the countries in the framework in the culture the user has selected. Unfortunately the above has not worked for me, they are still displaying in (some form) of English. I have checked
my threading and both UICulture and Culture are set to (in my example) French (fr).
The MS documentation:
does say this should work, but it still isn't for me.
I believe I am missing the language resources that .net needs to actually do this translation and so it is going ahead and defaulting to my culture. Does anyone have any idea about this? If this is the issue, where do I go about installing other language
