I was installing MVC3 on my PC. Though the installation was done correctly but when I start to code 'system.Data.Entity' namespace was not recognised. Wondering What can be the reason?

You'll need to make sure that you are referencing the appropriate Entity Framework reference files (System.Data.Entity.dll or EntityFramework.dll depending on your version) within your Project under References.
You can do that through the following steps :
You can also accomplish the same thing through NuGet if you have it installed :
After you have successfully added these to your application, you'll just need to add a using statement within the page that you are using your Entity-related objects on :
Although if you have the appropriate references already, you should be able to right-click on any class or object found in the Entity namespace (such as DBContext or DBSet) and select the Resolve option, which will automatically
add the proper using statement.

Just right click on project and click on add reference, choose assembly tab and find System.Data.Entity and click on add...
It will resolve your problem...
