When a deployment package is installed, the parameters defined in the parameters.xml are entered by the person running the installation process.
When the application needs to be updated, all the parameters have to be entered again, the default values provided being the generic ones provided by us.
It would be much more convenient to have the installation process remember the values entered from the previous installation, thus making it much easier to run the update installation.
Is this somehow possible?
BTW the question has already been asked at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16450553 but unfortunately no answer was provided.

How about with following this article
You can provide command line to and fill all parameters and just provide the updated package. So next time that person can just run it.
