I thought that we could intermix vbshtml and cshtml in the same webmatrix app. Am I wrong - I started to, but got errors on opening up the app.

You can have both vbhtml and cshtml files in the same site, but you cannot mix the two in App_Code.

You can either convert the other files to vb or you can create a class library for your functions in VB and put the resulting dll in your bin folder.

I thought about writing the calculations into ms sql stored procedures. I have some experience with stored procedures and I thought that might be a good way to be able to be front end independent. With the data in ms sql data base, and the calcs in stored
procedures, I could unplug and replug this into whatever front end I wanted to use. Your thoughts ?

My preference is to keep application logic in the application. In my world, databases are purely data stores and should never contain business logic.
