Is it possible to run an ASP.NET SignalR application on Windows 2003 Server and IIS6?

I haven't tried yet myself but looking at the thread below I can say that yes it can run. As per following thread someone tried and got answer for his errors.

What about hosting it within a Windows Service? Will that get around this limitation?

I think it's happening because of IIS 6. You have to configure routing for the SignalR hub. Check the below link

We did some resesarch and this is what we did to make it work on IIS 6 with Windows 2003:
1. Gave IIS_WPG group full control of the website's root physical folder.
2. Closed all WCF connections after any WCF operation is called.
SignalR is now working fine so far on Windows 2003 running IIS6.
