I love the #Region "RegionName" #End Region function of visual studio, but I don't see an easy way in the outlining menu to just collapse or expand the regions only. If I toggle outlining, it collapses the functions and sub-routines too. I want to leave
the functions and sub-routines non-collapsed so that when I expand a region, they are immediately visible.

Other than that, there is no way to do that. And Visual Studio 2012 doesn't support Macros. So it will not work for VS2012. Sorry. There is really no way to achieve what you are looking for :(

I finally got around to implementing this in my visual studio 2010. It worked like a charm. I even added the Collapse / Expand Region Macro commands to the Edit => Outlining menu.
