I have a function in c# to generate an excel file on fly based on the data base value and I am populating a drop down list in the excel and filling up with the value which I am getting from data base. Actually I am saving the excel file using "workBook.SaveAs"
function. It fails to save the selected drop down value by default (which I am setting in the code itself when I generate the excel file).
But when I open the excel manually (from the folder location) and select a value in the drop down and save it again then it retains the selected data as it is when I open it again.
Question: How can I save the excel with the drop down default selected value (which has been set in the code during excel file generation)?
Thanks in advance.

This should be resolvable by using code behind. Take a look at this thread:
