I am thinking about creating some WCF Services for providing support for OData queries (WCF Data Services). It is likely that the user will connect to the data using Excel Power Pivot.
The issue I have is that I need to use forms authentication and while I would like to have packaged the WCF Service as a Managed Windows Service it is likely that I will end up using an ASP.Net web application with WCF Authentication turned on.
The question I have is if using ASP.Net and WCF Authentication, how does Excel Power Pivot connect (or more specifically, how does the user enter their credentials?)
