I have been attempting to run the excellent SignalR tutorial at http://www.asp.net/signalr/overview/getting-started/tutorial-getting-started-with-signalr on
IIS8 on Windows Server 2012. I keep finding the same problem - the HTML page loads up, but there is no dynamic functionality. I look for the script files that I might expect to see in the application directory, and there doesn't seem to be anything there.
Am I missing something? Do I need to install a SignalR library on the server as well? If so, what library? If not, is there something that I need to do to IIS to make it play nicely with SignalR?

Of course yes. You have to include the signalr library in the server side as well. Go to the NuGet Package manager from Visual Studio and install it from there.

Do you get 404 on /signalr/hubs (auto-generated script)?
If yes, did you remember to map the hubs (in global.asax) ? :
Otherwise the script is not generated.
It works fine on my Windows 8 + IIS8 machine (I haven't tried that exact example though).
