So I created a page in asp.net today, but when I go to run it on my host, I get this parser error:
I've read a number of online forums regarding this error, and they all seem to have something different wrong. The other thing is that when I run it on my home testing server; it runs fine... it's just when I run it on my online host's server that it seems
to screw up. My server is running .net 4 (which they claim they upgraded to awhile back, but by the looks of the version info, they really haven't). I created the project in .net 4... and I am really drawing blanks... any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="office.aspx.cs" Inherits="SEMRAU" %>
public partial class SEMRAU: System.Web.UI.Page
Make both same

Thanks for your help! Unfortionatly, when I do that, it doesn't help. One thing I did notice is that it looks like your example is for C#... mine is vb. Does that make a difference? Also, my public class was "Application", and if I changed it to "SEMRAU",
it gave a whole host of errors since my site was programmed for "Application". I could change each of those; but if I'm understanding you correctly, if I just changed Inherits="Application" then it should work... right? This is what I have now:
<%@ Page Language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" Codebehind="default.aspx.vb" Inherits="Application" %>
Partial Public Class Application
And I am still getting the same error, only it changed what it couldn't load from the string that I changed. It now reads: Could not load type 'Application'.

Actually, I was able to figure it out, you got me going on the right direction. Part of the problem was the Inherits, the other part was the fact that visual studio put CodeBehind instead of CodeFile. I had tried both fixes before, but never together.
Once I did them together, it worked. Thanks for your help! :)
