I see several nuget packages for Oracle. Oracle Data Provider (ODP) 32 bit, a (ODP) 64 bit, and once just called ODP 'Managed Driver' that has far fewer donwloads.
I am building an MVC/WebAPI app and need pretty much simple read-only access to an Oracle database to lookup a number of things in a warehouse.
I will not be writing anything back at all.

I use ODP.NET 32-bit and 64-bit depending on the OS environment of app development. For me it has always been faster than the Microsoft Oracle Client, which is now deprecated. The ODP.NET Managed driver is a step in the right direction, but still in my
mind it is an evolving beta, so I can wait.

Recompile from 32-bit to 64-bit moving from test to prod.
Just have to make sure the correct ODP.NET ODAC.dll is being used and referenced.
I put the correct ODAC.dll in the website /BIN and make LOCAL reference to the DLL.
