While reading an XML file from an Abobe Form submission in an VB.Net application:
An empty tag
As opposed to filled tag
Throws an "Object Reference not set to an object instance". When there is data, the process works.
I've tried capturing the value of the tag, as in the following but I am unable to understand what, if any value there is when its empty and or how to check it.
Its not possible for a user to enter ALL fields on the form... there must be a way to handle "empty"?
Assistance would be appreciated... Thanks!!
Response.Write("This field is EMPTY")

Thanks for your assistance, but I seem to have located a fix in another post...
Instead of Using:
'DatePrep.Text = root.SelectSingleNode("DatePrep").ChildNodes(0).Value
I used the following.... with ".InnerText"
DatePrep.Text = root.SelectSingleNode("DatePrep").InnerText
