On our server we have some CLR 2.0 and 4.0 sites. The ASP.NET Apps v2.0.50727\Requests/Sec counter is correctly showing around 1 request a second. Our more popular sites are on 4.0 but the ASP.NET Apps v4.0.30319\Requests/Sec counter
is just counting up, its a running total.
Its the same on each server in the farm. We thus have no idea about the traffic to our main product.

similar feedback about this issue that it behaves total requests and total requests executing in Windows Server 2008 R2,
and this issue is being tracked internally and will be fixed in a future update,

Requests/sec performance counter just increases, >500k and counting
