I'd like to fire an event and have my code do something about 13 hours later from when I pushed a button, but I'm trying to figure out how to do it without doing a fair few instructions. Is this possible? The timer seems to actually count down 13 hrs checking
as it goes along and for each instruction that it checks it will take time that I don't want to lose. Does the system time push anything out when it's reached 13 hrs later? Or any time later?

asp.net code is not suited to this kind of thing as in the hours after you pushing the button, the app pool might get recycled for any number of reasons and your timer will be destroyed. If you want time-related functions like this then the best bet is
to use a scripted Windows task, a Windows Service, an SQL job or whatever other tech you have available to you.
