The webserver does not appear to have Frontpage Server Extensions installed.
I am trying to create a new website as an ASP.NET Web Service using Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.
I tried selecting File->New website->(selecting target framework as .NET 3.0) and then ASP.NET Web Service.
Then I click on "browse" and select the local IIS server on my Windows 7 machine.
I select "Default website" and give it a folder name and then click okay. It responds with:
"The Webserver does not appear to have Frontpage Server Extentions installed".
But if I repeat all the same steps and select local file system the project opens up okay. Do I need to install something else to get this to work on IIS? Thanks.

Do you have Frontpage Server Extensions installed properly?

And you may take a look at a blog below on similar issue.
