Good point but it's my understanding that all questions posted on these forums must be related to Web Development. So even though it's vb.net or c# it must be related to an asp.net project. Sometimes the question might be purely a language related question
so they'd go in these two sections.
Make sense and I would agree with you for the most part.
But as what you've stated, both language are also used in ASP.NET (web development). Since MSDN and ASP.NET doesn't share the same membership (AFAIK), it will probably bother other users to create an account for MSDN just to ask/post questions on both language.
So i guess that's the main reason why the language forum section existed here. Also if you noticed, this forum have SQL Server section because it is also used for ASP.NET as the data storage medium.
If MSDN and ASP.NET will share the same membership, then it will make more sense to remove the language forum section here.

both of the languages are NOT ONLY used in asp.net but WinForm and other fields as well.
That wouldn't seem to be a valid reason to remove those forums. If it were, then wouldnt we also need to consider removing the other forums here that are on topics that a winforms developer might also be interested in:
SQL
Access...
Oracle...
Active directory
ADO.NET
Visual Studio
GDI
Books
Jobs
Most forums here are very specific to ASP.NET technology however some of the forums here are for a slightly more general topics that an ASP.NET developer will encounter when building ASP.NET applications. And as mentioned, although there may be forums here
whose topic appears a bit general and potentially applicable to winforms developers, all threads here should be made in the context of ASP.NET development.
Including or not including the language forums here isn't a question that i'd think we could answer simly by virtue of a "winforms and other fields" developer being interested in the topic.

Suggestion:Remove C# & Visual Basic

Both of the forums are for language talking only, and both of the languages are NOT ONLY used in asp.net but WinForm and other fields as well.
So to talk about the languages and algorithm or something related to it, MSDN is good enough.
asp.net should foucs on asp.net itself;)

Yes
But it's really hard to seperate an language from its applications.
Languages should go where it belongs.

So that's the reason why I let you combine asp.net with MSDN;)
Don't u think something will be too duplicated?!

Not really sure what you're trying to say...
As far as combining goes, that question of yours was already answered here:

I mean don't u think C#, VB.net are duplicated in asp.net?!
They have been included in MSDN Forums.
So plz remove them and combine with MSDN.

So has SQL, ADO, A/D etc... You've repeated yourself but not addressed the points raised in previous replies to your thread.

Thanks for the suggestion. But, no, for the reasons stated by the others in this thread, we will not be removing those forums.
