I have an existing Web App and on one of the pahges . there is simply an editable grid with two columns . The data is then saved to the database.
Is there a tutorial which outlines how i can use knockout to do that section of the web app ?

Knockout is normally used as client side to interact with a data layer (e.g. JQuery AJAX) to talk to a RESTful server (i.e. Web API). It's not normally used to interact with Webform controls. If you use webform controls, just keep using the traditional
way to do it.
If your app is MVC based, then you can just look at the existing SPA template (VS2012 RTM + asp.net 2012.2) to see how it work with TodoList and todoItems, to talk with backend Web API. The template shows essentially a todolist grid, with each todolist
item also showing a grid of todo items.
You can read http://www.asp.net/single-page-application for more information.

http://learn.knockoutjs.com/ is a good starting point to learn SPA client side
You should learn server side from http://www.asp.net/web-api
http://www.johnpapa.net/spa/ offers SPA training via pluralsight. His site also offer extensive blog reviews on some SPA templates, such as
Hope it helps!
