Today I wasted two hours trying to figure out how to do CrossPagePosting on a page with a Master Page. As part of my search I checked the forum and found a hit, but the accepted resolution was confusing and the actual solution was buried away in one of
the last lines of code on a full page of code. In my searching however, I found the answer on the web. I think this site is the best resource for asp.net work and would like to update the thread I found with a more concise explanation and code.
I did this last week on another thread and the moderator rejected the post because if was an old thread. I would like to strongly suggest that you consider changing this policy. The use and effectiveness of this site is based on people being able to find
solutions quickly. I don't see the harm in adding solutions to an old thread.

the policy's there as resurrecting older threads pushes down new threads which are in immediate need of answer and once of the first page the likelyhood of getting an answer becomes less.
If you have a good piece of information then please create a new thread in the Tips & tricks forum where you put a full blown explanation and source code.
