We deployed a fix to this problem last night. So moving forward this should no longer happen, and we still need to run some cleanup scripts and do a complete search reindex to take care of this completely.

on the actual page http://forums.asp.net/t/1873274.aspx, it appears wonky with the "e; entity replacing the quotation marks:
suggestion: change default for "are you sure that you want to navigate away from this page?" from "OK" to "Cancel"

Well I have seen this as well a number of time.. Actually It just dont only appear inside the thread but you can see it from outside as well..
Refer this thread by you:
http://forums.asp.net/t/1870972.aspx/1?RE+amp+amp+amp+amp+191+apparent+forums+indexing+inconsistency+
Currently It is in the 11th place in the "Feedback on this Website Page"..
What I noticed is that there is +amp in place of & ... I guess. and "e; in place of "
I think its a bug indeed.. I dont know may be some moderators know it better..
Thank You.

@ geniusvishal
thank you ... i was hunting for an example where it also happened in the index because i was sure that i've seen such examples before.
unfortunately, i could not find one.
interesting (at least to me), is that i'm the O.P. of the thread you found; also interesting (at least to me), is that it the index to this forum { Feedback on this website [http://forums.asp.net/188.aspx/1?Feedback+on+this+website] }.
