I have the following code in a web application
public void Submit(string XML)
ServicePointManager.ServerCertificateValidationCallback = ValidateCertificate;
TestWS.CW serv = new TestWS.CW();
string s = serv.Check(XML);
private static bool ValidateCertificate(object sender, X509Certificate cert, X509Chain chain, System.Net.Security.SslPolicyErrors sslPolicyErrors)
My problem is that the ValidateCertificate Callback is never hit. When I used a standard HttpWebRequest it worked fine..... Do I need to somehow connect the ServicePointManager to the webservice url?

It may because of security. Check the security settings of your webservice

It is not my webservice. It is a third party service. Why would it not be hitting the callback? I would have thought this would be hit regardless of the security on the webservice end?
