I want to deploy a MVC 4 Application to my server running IIS 7.
But after deployment I got a 403.14 "Browsing for files not allowed" error.
I tried everything i found on the web but nothing helped.
for example ensuring that
is in the config files (but which was part of the default template)
Event When I create a new MVC 4 application from internet template. and deploy it without any change it doesn't work.
Then I wanted to run aspnet_regiis -i on the server there I saw that there is only the folder %Windows%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319
and nocht 4.5.XXXXX
Also when i look into the installed software 4.5 is listed and the location shows the folder with 18.104.22.168319. So I assume this is the problem ?
Some weeks ago I executed the .net4.5 setup on the server which succeded. When i now try to run it it says that it is already installed. (which is correct).
I also tried repairing it and restartet a lot of times.
Also all app pools show 4.03.30319 as .net version number.
Projects created with MVC 4 and .net 4.0 do run.
On my Development PC with Visual Studio 2012 there is also no 4.5 Folder for .net .
I assume with out the 4.5 version of aspnet_Regiis i can't register .net 4.5 app pools.
Here some one has the same problem:
Can someonve give me any advice?
On the server is a version of visual studio installed

Please refer these links about ASP.NET MVC with Different Versions of IIS,
you learn how to use ASP.NET MVC, and URL Routing, with different versions of Internet Information Services.
And different strategies for using ASP.NET MVC with IIS 7.0 (classic mode), IIS 6.0, and earlier versions of IIS.
Please check whether helpful to MVC 4 application deployment with iis 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
hope it helps you.

you might face the same problem that I had before.
if MVC3 projects run good on the same host, try get windows Server SP1 patch installed and try again.
.net 4.5 is just an in-place replacement for 4.0 - that's the most confusing part as it still mark the version as "v4.0.30319" in the IIS App Pool.
