I am trying to create a SqlDataSource on my page that is a join of two tables... I get an "Error of Creating the Control"... syntax problem maybe? not fully qualifying the tables and their fields? - both are coming from the same database... any clues? Thanks!
connectionstring="<%$ ConnectionStrings:TrackITConnectionString %>"
selectcommand="SELECT s.Software_Description, s.Unit_Price, s.SoftwareShortName, s.Manufacturer,
s.Software_ID, s.Comments, b.Quantity_Remaining
FROM tblSoftwareList s, tblBulkPurchases b
WHERE s.SofwareShortName = b.SofwareShortName
ORDER BY s.Software_Description">

Sample joint table :
ON orders.product = inventory.product;
Use design mode and datasource wizard, use query designer to make it easy.

Maybe the creating of the control instance——so please just delete the control to drag and drop another one inside and have a try. Please do to write SQL statement and have a test in the wizard window.
