The scenario is like that.. I have created a website wid vwd 2005 and sql server 2005 .. Its working fyn when i run it using visual web developer.. Then i tried to deploy it in localhost for test purpose..
In IIS under Default Website i started with create new virtual directory.. Given alias name and physical path.. THEN customized connect as for specific user in my computer.. I also changed the web.config to set the default "login" page..
After doing all this when i clicked on browse.. The website opened with a compilation Error..
CS0246: The type or namespace name 'BLL' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
The BLL is the name of the folder which is in app_code directory and which holds all the class file.. I have used BLL
as namespace in my class files..
Another thing is that when i convert that website to application it is working fine .. Means It is opening that Login.aspx
without any problem..
My OS is Windows 7 and am using IIS 7.5
So what should be my next step?? What should be my next step?? Plz Suggest.

Based on the error message you experience, it seems that you did not properly publish your site. Please go to your Visual Studio tool, right click the project and select "Publish"
Please publish all your project files to a particular folder, e.g. C:\MyProject. Next, you just need to upload whatever files you see on this folder to the server
Please mark this response as an "answer" if it helps you. Thanks heaps!
