I have a solution with 2 projects: a Web Client (which has a Web.config) and a DLL that it references (that has an app.config). In the DLL I create a Service Reference to WCF service and the binding and Client Endpoint information is put iin the app.config
for the DLL.
When I run my Web Client I get an error that endpoing information cannot be found.
I have tried
None of these things work.
The only thing that works is hand copying the endpoint information from the app.config into the web.config. I would like to avoid this if possible and think that there must be some 'automated' way that this is supposed to work
Can anyone enlighten me? (I admit to being a newbie to Asp.net and WCF!)
thanks in advance!

based on the error message, it seems that you did not properly publish your site.
Please do the followings:
1. Please open your project with VS tool
2. On the Solution Explorer window, right click your project and select "Publish"
3. Please publish your project to a local folder, e.g. C:\Project
4. Once you publish your files to this folder, you just need to upload whatever files you see on C:\Project via FTP to the server and I guarantee everything will work
Please mark this response as an "answer" if it helps you. Thanks heaps!

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I actually just wanted to run this debug mode. We have not yet attempted to publish our site.
