I am having some debugging issues with Visual Studio and I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction. When debugging server-side code that is run as a result of an AJAX call I can step through the code but all of a sudden (usually after 20-30
This only started to happen recently. Until the last couple of days I was able to debug server-side code without any issues and with no timeout constraints. I checked the ping timout settings of the Application Pool to make sure the Ping Enabled setting
is still set to False (it is). Plus I also checked the Connection time-out settings of the Web Site.
Has anyone else experience this and how can I resolve that?

Restart ur app and have a try？
If still fails:
1) Upgrate to VS2010.
2) Report at http://connect.microsoft.com

Restarting the app was one of the first things I tried, followed by recycling the IIS pool, restarting IIS altogether, and finally restarting the computer. All to no avail.
This is a new behavior that only started a couple of days. Everything worked fine before and everything is still working fine on any other computer.

I think I figured the problem. The issue was with Internet Explorer not any settings in Visual Studio or IIS. The registry timeout setting for IE was set to 10 seconds (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
- Receive Timeoutt). Not sure how that registry entry was changed/set. Regardless, changing the
Receive Timeout value to a more reasonable value resolved the debugging issue.
