I stored all my website created with VWD express 2010 with sql server 2008 (sp1) version 10.50.2500 before re-installing my pc. I am using windows 7 home premium.
I also install a new VWD 2010 express on this reinstalled windows pc. I noticed that the version of the new VWD express sql server 2008 database is (sp3) version 10.00.5500.
Now my question is. how do I open the stored websites I already created on this version. it can of course be opened on this new VWD but the database is not accessible becauuse of the version difference.
Can any one help me out with this?

You should install SQL 2008 R2: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30437

This version is 10.50.4000.0 and cannot be opened with a version of the VWD that I have. the VWD version I have installed is with version 10.00.5500 sql server 2008 express (sp3) with service pack 3. this is the lasted version
the version you are recommending is service pack 2. that will be a downgrade.
any other idea?

Yes, version I recommend is Service Pack 2, but for R2 version which is higher than the one you have. Keep in mind that version you have is "ordinary" SQL server 2008 and not R2 version.
You can check version development here:
