HTTP Error 500.21 - Internal Server Error
Handler "PageHandlerFactory-Integrated" has a bad module "ManagedPipelineHandler" in its module list
I see solutions for this via a quick google, such as:
THE QUESTION: All the solutions involve reinstalling asp.net, which I believe does need to be done. Whether via "Server Manager" or aspnet_regiis -i, however this server actually has multiple web sites on it and other sites are working fine. Will reinstalling
asp.net mess with the existing site's in any way? wipe out any of their configurations? etc..? Or is it a safe, reinitializing procedure that preserves existing settings? I'm guessing it will wipe them all out but wanted to confirm and get some feedback anyway.

I have done the uninstallation and reinstallation, .net framework upgrade on the same server and I can confirm that all your remaining sites will work. Obviously, when you uninstall the framework, the sites will stop working , but it will work once the framework
is installed or upgraded.
I myself have tried to upgrade from .NET2 to .NET 3.5 and then to .NET 4 and the latest to .NET 4.5. The same I did for ASP.NET MVC 2.0 to ASP.NET MVC 3.0 and the latest to ASP.NET MVC 4.0. All of them works smoothly on my end.
Please note that if you install any Control Panel such as PLESK on the server, you site may throw some errors, but it can be easily fixed.
Please mark this response as an "answer" if it helps you. Thanks heaps!
