I am trying to set up a web application that utilizes WebSockets. I am running VS12_RC on Windows 7 and whenever I try to run my websocket I get a "The IIS WebSocket module is not enabled." error. Where can I turn this on at? I see IIS 8 Express
in my Add or Remove Programs, but can't seem to find it in my system. I assume it was installed with VS12_RC? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The WebSocket features in .NET 4.5 and IIS 8 (including Express) require Windows 8 because they use a native Windows component (websocket.dll) that is new to Windows 8.
Once you are running on Windows 8, you can turn on the IIS WebSocket module under "Turn Windows features on or off" -> Internet Information Services ->World Wide Web Services -> Application Development Features -> WebSocket Protocol (or the equivalent if
you are on a server SKU).
If you are looking to use WebSocket-like features from ASP.NET without requiring Windows 8 on the server or requiring modern WebSocket enabled browsers, I suggest you check out SignalR at https://github.com/SignalR/SignalR.
