Orignally created DB under VWD Express 2005 which was deployed with the site. The site was running for some time and the DB collected and had current data. Copied the DB w/ the updated data and put it in both the Original IDE of 2005 and also into a new
IDE of 2010 (different machines). In both cases when running test with local sql express the orignal data when DB was created comes up in both IDE's. Also, noted the path info reflects the original path not the new path where it was copied to. Don't understand
what's happening. On the new IDE the path or file doesn't exist. Is there an explanation? Thanks

I'm not quite sure about your question.
Do you mean you want to use the new DB for you project?
If so just change the connection string in your web.config file to your new database.

Thanks for your interest. No, the connection strings work and DB gets connected OK. The mystery for me is the content of the DB. What I get is the Original content when DB was first deployed. Since then the DB has gathered new content but after copying it from
its original site with Updated content and putting it to different places it has Original deployed content. Tryed different techniques to no avail. I guess the question is when a simple copy of a VWD 2005 Express DB is done why is the Original content showing
after placing it elsewhere? Tryed Attach, made a bak file from the copy and tryed that. Can't get to current site server to do bak from there. An SSMS Express Sql query shows Original content, and when in two different Local VWD setups it shows Original content.
One is the VWD 2005 Express IDE and another is VWD 2010 Express IDE. When the DB copy was set up with SSMS Express the DB was named with the original file path as a prefix part of the file name. That path doesn't exist on the VWD 2010 Express system. Trying
to save Current content of DB (and also ASPNETDB) to move to a new site. I don't know enough to understand and accomplish this.
There are connection strings in both the IDE's connecting to the DB's on the original site and they access and show the Current content. Accessing from the Web gets current content.
All thoughts appreciated.

Yours isn't a problem but something looks like a BUG……Plz directly send it：http://connect.microsoft.com！

Mystery solved. A dummy problem. Turns out years ago the DB's in question were combined and renamed to single DB. I was sourcing the wrong place. Thanks for your interest and sorry for my confusion.
