I am getting this error: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1. when using XmlSerializer object.
Basically I am taking my custom class, which is marked for serialization, serializing it to a string then taking that XmlString and converting that back to an XmlDocument i.e:
XmlDocument xmlDoc = new XmlDocument();
This is where I get the error.

This is obvious that your xml content has something wrong——So show us your xml contents……
