however, unlike questions that are not deleted, the link is always emboldened ...
Members wanting to help other members will tend to investigate emboldened links.
The best solution would be for deleted links to be immediately removed from index lists; alternatively, perhaps they could have different CSS?

That member edited their question (erased the contents) and changed its subject to read "question removed". So it was still a legitimate thread in the thread list. Upon noticing this, that question was then subsequently removed. Shortly after it was deleted,
it drops off the list entirely. You were likely seeing and clicking that link right about (very shortly after) the time that i was removing it.
