I'm having nearly 20,000 records in a resultset produced after joining 3-4 tables and i need to bind these records to a gridview, When i use in built pagination it is taking much time to load the second page. Even i've some logic written in Gridview RowCommand
Can anyone let me know how to improve performance of gridview pagination and i'll be loading 10 records per page on demand basis just like lazyloading tabs.
Note: I dont want to use ObjectDataSource..

From you suggestion I'd prefer to recommand you to use a 3-rd party tool called "Customized paging" —— this is a control that can be used nearly all kinds of data presentation control （not only GridView but Repeater as well……）So for a fast, quick thing you
should use this control+Repeater instead in my mind——Repeater will fasten your speed to show data because of pure Html codes and tags made by yourself，and DataPager will page them by page through Stored procdure。
