using VS 2005
I am building a report based on an existing report. The existing report has 3 parameters but I only want to have 1 parameter for my new report, how do I delete the other 2 parameters in the report?

Go to parameters at the left side of the ReportData toolbar, if not available go to View and at the bottom find ReportData
delete the parameters you dont want to use, and delete all the references of those deleted parameters in report.

The parameters are directly generated as per the stored procedure which you are using for this report to show up. You cannot 'JUST' delete these parameters.
All you need to do is,
- Go to the stored procedure which you are using, remove the parameters which you want to remove.
- Come back to the report, go to the dataset of the report tablix. Click on the Refresh Fields. It will automatically re-adjust the parameters depending upon the stored procedure.
This is the most error free way of acheiving your requirement.
