Hello guys, I have a crystal report file sent by a customer to do some edittion that connects to orcale, I had to edit a procedure in the report and update it with a new one that had exactly the same in and out parameters just a different name. I don't
have the customer database in hand and its kinda impossible to get the same database on my pc. so I created the same procedure on my database (completely different database) , changed the body so it will compile, and set the datasource location of the report
proceudere only to the new procedure name assuming that the report their will use the same procedure name exist there. I can't tesst here so do u think it will this work? please find a picture below of what I mean.

Open the new crystal report,
Click Database--->set database location--->Create new connection ---> OLEDB(ADO) ---> Microsoft OLEDB provider for Oracle
Provide the credentials and then point it to the stored procedure which exists for this report.
* Note: You can also check what is set in this location for the old crystal report and instead of creating connection , you can just connect the new crystal report to the old stored procedure.
After you set the location press F5 to run the report-- if it runs fine then save the report with the name of the OLD CRYSTAL report.
Replace the old crystal report with new one and you are good to go.
no need of creating or changing anything else.
