I have 2 web sites to be run umder IIS 7.x in Windows server 2008.
Web site#1 is http://mWS1.com
Web site#2 is http://mWS2.com
Presently they run under root.
Each has its own SSL CERT (Port# 443).
Each resides in its own physical folder.
Each site has its own Login system and web.config file.
I would like to move http://mWS2.com under
Reason: I need to consolidate SSL CERTS from 2 down to 1 (to protect both sites with one SSL CERT).
I need to keep their physical path as they are.
So how would I go about to implement this idea? I can create a separate Application under Website#1.
But how URL link for Web#2 would look like? And how do I reference site# 2 pages from its own project/solution. Example: I always use "~/Home.aspx" to call home page on website# 2 from its login page. Now under the new structure, can I still use the same
Thanks for your help,

I am not sure if you can strictly do this by rearranging the sites on IIS, but I am not 100% sure. Typically SSL certificates have the domain within the SSL cert, so you might already have any issue because if the SSL cert is for mWS1.com and mWS2.com respectively
then you could have an issue. If you have an SSL cert for *.mycompany.com then you might be ok from the SSL side of things but not sure on the IIS side.
Since this really isn't a ASP.NET software architecture issue and more of an IIS question, I think you should repost on the IIS Forums to get some expert help from those folks:
