I am using VS 2010 Professional edition that comes with SQL Server 2008 Compact. Operating system: Windows XP Professional
I have the following problem: I created an ASP.Net report that needs to access Directory Services; this functionality does not work because the user that connects to Reporting
Services is always machinename\ASPNET, regardless of the login name. I put a text box on the report and set Expression to
=User!UserID and I always get
machinename\ASPNET. I want it to be the Windows login but I am unable to change it. I tried to modify IIS settings, ASP.Net settings, used Windows Authentication everywhere but it still
does not work.
Where is this user (i.e.
stored? How can I tell Reporting Services that I want Windows Authentication instead? I cannot find anywhere on my drive a utility that can configure Reporting Services for SQl Server Compact...
