This is probably going to seem trivial, but honestly this is getting old. What is the catch to running crystal reports xi relase 2 in visual studio 2010? At one point I had it running then all of a sudden i'm getting log in errors (even with the god account).
I have fought with what seems to be a billion errors over the last month and well I'm glad I'm already bald. I'm missing some catch somewhere... I have downloaded what I thought was the right runtime, from crystal. I have tried the lastest and greatest from
crystal and I'm just not quit getting there. I'm looking for some good solid advice (with the exception of ditching crystall all together).

When you say that you have the latest from CR/SAP, does that mean that you are using CR for Visual Studio 2010? If so, then you may be having some issues with the .NET version, especially if you created your reports in CR XI R2.

Thats what I was wondering, is there an actual version for crystal xi release 2? The only runtime I find is for the server not .net. Although at one point I managed to get 11.5 in VS2010 (don't ask me how) and it worked for a second. LOL

Does anyone have a framework from Crystal XI Release 2?

If you have CR XI R2, then you should have the .NET components to install. I do not believe that you can get the components independently as they are tied to the CR XI R2 license (it's one of the assemblies).

Hey Careed.... Here is how I fixed it... its not pretty
1. reinstalled windows 7
2. reinstalled vs 2010
3. reinstalled cr for vs
Now all seems to be well except for parameters, see new post by me... lol The only thing I can figure is something got jacked when I was learning.. :)
