I had created many reports with VS 2008. Now starting with VS 2010 for new requirement. Please note I am using .rdlc report
- I could add subreport control to the report but could not select the available reports. There is no browse button or a dropdown to choose the available .rdlc report.
- When I manually type the report name, the reportviewer doesnt show up any subreport. I dont see any error message on the 'Output' window either.
How do I use subreport with VS 2010? Am I missing anything? Any help is appreciated.
I have SQL 2005/2008 (report services installed), VS 2008, VS 2010 installed on the same PC.

If the sub reports are created properly, then you can select that sub report by clicking on the cell/item for which you have selected the subreport.
For reportviewer 10.0, this will appear as hyperlink and you can browse through the subreport.
If you want to generate any action from the C# code for the subreport, you can use "OnDrillthrough" event of the Reportviewer.
NOTE : If you are using reportviewer 9.0, the hyperlinks wont appear which is a drawback. They appear as large fonts compared to other values in the report. Please check the version of the report viewer you are using.

The same reports work perfect in VS 2008 (SQL 2005). After upgrading them to VS 2010/SQL 2008, subreports are not shown.
