I put together and modified this kit years ago. I just picked it up again and decided to use it for my apartments. I can show each apartment on the pages, etc. It seems like it might be ideal for when there is a vacancy.
It keeps doing something odd. I tinkered with it a while and then when I tried to preview in web browser, it opened just the page that has a log in box. Nothing else of the web can be seen.
So I rebuilt it and changed the location and copied the database over. When I ran it again, it displayed properly. Then after I used the Asp.net security program, (the one for users/roles, etc. and made myself adminstrator), when I ran it again, it again
showed just the log in page and nothing else. This time however, I was able to sign in since I knew my password and realized that was the problem before.
However, I want everyone to be able to see the web without having to register or sign in. I want the log in to be only for me to upload photos or maybe for tenants who I might authorize to upload photos, etc.
Does the web as it is packaged before changes have the settings set this way or have I changed something by mistake?

What I suggest is anything that you want to be publically available, leave that in the site root. Anything that needs to be secured, place into a sub folder named secure for example and set the permissions on that folder. Try to avoid securing common stuff
like CSS and image files for example.

Thanks. I will try that and cross my fingers it doesn't require a ton of corrections to work!

If your security scheme is in place and you know it works, you probably will only need to do some page shuffling to get it to work. If you run into problems, just let us know.
