I need a help i am trying to find resources to learn how i can connect a asp.net website and windows application created via visual studio 2010 with remote database. To make it clearer for example we have university and students from around the world
can access the database and employee they are working on windows application and also can update and access the same database and they are in NY. And the database is in Boston.
Did anybody have links discuss such as those cases?!

It depends on the database you are using. You have posted to the Access forum. Is that the kind of database you are talking about? Or SQL Server?
With Access, your only real option is Web Services. However, you can connect directly to a remote SQL Server.
From http://www.connectionstrings.com/sql-server-2008, Connect via an IP address:
Data Source=18.104.22.168,1433;Network Library=DBMSSOCN;Initial Catalog=myDataBase;User ID=myUsername;Password=myPassword;

Another way is that you can also use WCF。For WCF+DataTable or something related to this，you can refer to：http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wcf/thread/088d0c74-6568-4496-8bfa-4ccf3a1ea851/
