I've had a web going ok using VWD2005 and all worked fine.
I decided to re-develope my site under VWB2008 on my workstation and all seemed great. So I upgraded my Server (2k3 SBS) and got a warning message about SQL. When I try to run the website I get ...
The database 'C:\FAMILYVWD2008\APP_DATA\DATABASE.MDF' cannot be opened because it is version 655. This server supports version 611 and earlier. A downgrade path is not supported.
Could not open new database 'C:\FAMILYVWD2008\APP_DATA\DATABASE.MDF'. CREATE DATABASE is aborted.
An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:\FamilyVWD2008\App_Data\Database.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share
I've been trying to upgrade my server manually to sql server 2008 express management, but it tells me that no upgrade is required as I already have the necessary version.
What can I attempt next, if I go the next step to 2010 editions of VWd and SQL am I getting into deeper waters?
Thanks for any advice...

no help anywhere, I can't even find an answer on the web, though it seems to be a very common problem with no answer.
I'm having to uninstall everything to do with VWD 2008 and SQL 2008 and revert back to the 2005 edition and re-input all my data, something I just spent a week updating. Thanks microsoft for updating our databases without even asking
