i just looked at the c# list ...
in list, shows as answered, but no inside reply is checked
#region problem http://forums.asp.net/t/1737900.aspx/1?+region+problem
in list, shows as not answered, but when opened shows
two replies checked as "the answer"
weird behaviour like this has been recently discussed in another Feedback on this website thread.
imho, it's a problem ... in situation (a), it's not always clear which reply(replies) actually answered the O.P.; in situation (b), members time will be wasted trying to help other members when the O.P.'s question has already been resolved to her/his
Please note: the O.P. may not even be responsible for these apparent anomalies.

I am agree with you. If you remember as you have posted a similar thread before and i did some comments(I was agree with you) that there is no any option to mark a post as resolved without marking atleast one post as answer. But today i also seen (option
a in your post)some posts which has not any post as answer eventhough they are as Resloved posts.
How its happen?

@ Rajneesh Verma
Hi Rajneesh, i think you mean this thread:
(if the above link does not work, it's becauses of a bug that Neudesic has logged,
here is an alternative link: http://forums.asp.net/t/1728092.aspx which is just the first part of the above link)
That thread is still unresolved ... this thread is an extended version of that thread; in the O.P. of this thread, case (a) is identical and case (b) is the converse.
i'm not sure why the previous thread was not addressed by Neudesic ... i really hope case (a) and (b) can be resolved.
repeating myself from yet another thread, we really need more at the index level than answered/not answered, examples:

You are right.
this thread is an extended version of that thread;
Yes because in your previous thread:http://forums.asp.net/t/1728092.aspx
As Kris told he has option to mark as resolved(As he is Moderator even though we are not having). So in that situation Case (a) possible. But what about case (b). Marked as Answer eventhough Still Un Resolved.!

Please use the Alert Moderators link to bring such threads to the moderator's attention. We can consider removing the "Mark as Resolved" option, which doesn't seem to be appearing in all cases anyway.

Hi Terri ... please note that you've not really answered this question imho.
Because you are suggesting that we use "Alert Moderators", are you admitting that both cases (a) and (b) as described in my O.P. for this thread are "bugs"?

I am saying that we'll look at the implementation of Mark As Resolved/Unresolved, and consider removing it completely, as it is possible that Mark as Resolved/Unresolved caused both of the issues you are pointing out.
Since this happens so rarely, the recommendation at this point is to Alert Moderators to threads that are in the condition of having marked answers yet is marked as unresolved.
For threads which are marked as resolved, yet no answer is marked...I don't think reporting to moderators is necessary as the moderators won't know which reply (if any) may have been the answer. You may contact the original poster and ask them to mark the
answer that helped them.
