Will VS.Net 11 support AnyTime Upgrade in a manner similar to the AnyTime Upgrade for Windows 7?
I would like the ability to seamlessly upgrade from one edition of the other without having to perform a re-install of Visual Studio when I get the higher edition media. For example, when I purchase Visual Studio Premium and I already have Visual Studio
Professional on my machine, I should just be able to "upgrade" my existing edition of Visual Studio to add the missing Visual Studio Premium features in the exact same manner as running the AnyTime Upgrade for Windows 7. Instead, today with Visual Studio
2010, I still have to re-install the complete media, a process which takes an hour or more.
I really hope that Visual Studio 11 changes the way we upgrade editions of Visual Studio across all of the SKUs regardless of whether we are upgrading from Professional to Premium or Professional to Ultimate or even Premium to Ultimate.

imho, for me, this is not a problem ...... Microsoft allows multiple versions fo vs to be installed on the same computer ...
i usually keep my older versions and install the newer ones because then if i'm having a problem with the newer version, i can easily check it out on previous versions.
i've had my current $600 laptop for over a year ... of 582 GB, i've still have 192 free ... so space for many of us is no longer a problem.
FWIW, i suggest you consider running multiple versions ... you can multi-task while you're upgrading in the background.
