I'm building an app that will require authentication. I've been given a requirement that previously authenticated users using AD accounts be alowed access to the app without haveing to log in again.
I know I can set up the membership/roles for the site so the user can login using AD credentials, but the users in the case will most likely be previously logged in. Is it possible to pick up that authorization and apply the towards access to the web app
I'd be happy as a clam for pointers to resources either here or out on the web. I'm not finding what I want so if anyone can point me in the right drection, it would be awesome.

What we have is a custom "Application Manager" app with roles, users, groups, application, etc tables in the backend. Kind of a custom asp.net db, Once you validated the AD credentials, you can then store what access they need to have in the application
without having to login again.
