I am working on the xbrl project I create the XBRL Instance document from Excel.
I want to Validate the generated XBRL Instance document with given taxonomy. I want to validate the datatype for the elements.
E.g. in xsd element "XYZ" given as string then my instance document does not accept the numeric values.
Thanks in advance

For validating an xml file, you should Create an xml schema:
If you want to validate the xml contents below:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
< body>Don't forget me this weekend!</body>
Your xml schema should look like this:
<xs:element name="to" type="xs:string"/>
<xs:element name="from" type="xs:string"/>
<xs:element name="heading" type="xs:string"/>
<xs:element name="body" type="xs:string"/>

Thanks for your Responce. But that is not the answer for my post. I already tried this solution before but It does not validate the XBRL document.

Can you be more specific about what you are looking for? Do you need to have an element be a numeric value? If so, you could check here:
Are you looking for some specific validation sample? If so, can you specifically let us know what you need to accept and what you need to disallow? Thanks!
