I agree with
Before Terri? mentioned it off hand in a thread, I had not even noticed that it existed.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, there had been a "Wiki" menu option until April 2011, but it was removed to simplify the navigation and to keep focus on the main cornerstones of the site. The link now exists on the Community page.

There's a very old saying about not keeping your light under a basket.
It seems to me that the big question here is whether the Wiki is something for which the site really wants to be discovered.
Right now it's not that discoverable.

The content that has been contributed to the wiki has not proven to be as valuable as was hoped when it was implemented several years ago, and it had been getting comparatively few site visitors. For those reasons it was removed as a top-level navigation

Hi Terri ... then why not abandon the Wiki altogether?
Of course, lack of use may also be from lack of discovery.
Also, from lack of promotion. Example: why not display the occasional shameless self-promotional advertisement for the Wiki?
I'm curious: why does the sight even have a Wiki?

There are referrals to the wiki in several threads, abandoning these would potentially be taking away answers which is not a good idea.

As far as I recall Microsoft wanted to have such a wiki in place as they saw need for it. The hope was that a strong wiki community would arise and great wiki articles would see light. In the beginning some nice articles were indeed written but in the end
I noticed quite some contributions been going to promotion of products, sometimes simple blog articles copy/pastes from someone who put hard work in it, ... All because of a mere recognition points to be gained...
