I'm unable to attach the mdf file i.e,
when i select 'DataBase Files from Create new connection that from the Report creation Wizard'
i'll get an error in the 'Crystal Report ActiveX Designer' window that "failed load database information".
plz do concerned to this problem . . . .

Instead of attaching an MDF file, you need to make a FULL database backup (in .bak file) and have it restored on your Database Server. If this is not something you can do directly, you then need to ask your database server administrator to restore the db for

Is dis possible to create the report through mdf file . . if yes then tell me how it can be done. otherwise give me detail steps for creating .bak file and how it can be restored on the dbserver and later connecting it to crystal report . .

To create a full database backup, please go to your SQL Management Studio Express (SSMS) tool.
1. Right click your Database and select Task -> "Backup"
2. Please select "Disk" and please backup to your local desired folder
3. You will see that this backup is a full backup in .BAK file format.

I'm using SqlServer2000, so i don't know where is SSMS tool . . but able to create the .BAK file with SQL Server Enterprise Manager.
Later what to do . . i'm totally blank my self had no idea...

how did you host your database? Please ask your host to restore your database for you
