i really need urgent help, i was googling a strange error for the last two weeks, if i mention my problem, here are what i did:
1. i developed asp.net application using VS2010 and SQL SERVER 2008, and it works fine in my local machine.
after i deployed my application into windows server 2008 or windows 7 i get an error indicating " Error Converting data type nvarchar to float", even if i make only redirection to the default page and not to authenticate the user by checking in the database
(not validating the user in my database).
so i did many changes and i really scoped the error, i gues i am facing IIS 7 or higher configuration problem. especially forms authentication problem, because when i remove authentican and use directory browsing i can get my forms and enter data to the
database. but when i allow forms authentication i get this strange error.
Plz guys i am new to vs2010 ans IIS7 plz help me ASAP.

Now go to IIS Management Console
and try doing this ... I hope you have ASP.Net and related features installed. There you have an option of authentication. Go it see for Forms Authentication and click on it. In right panel you will have enable button make sure you click on it ....
Rest talking about the " Error Converting data type nvarchar to float" seems to be your application error ... it does not seems to have any relation with your hosting. So i would ask you to go through code
