I suggest change the quotes color, since does almost haven't difference with the background color post:

One problem with selecting colours is that about 10% of men suffer from some degree of red-green* colour blindness.
For that reason, if changing quote colour is implemented, imho, it would need to be both optional and not the default choice.
BTW, it would also be nice to have a yellow highlighter (at least for me).

I think the user shouldn't change the colors, I am only suggesting to difference a little bit the quote and the user answer,
by example, a stronger quote border color.

Hi ... so what you're really suggesting is a coloured box to enclose the quoted text.
That could be quite useful because it's possible some of the time to be unsure as to what's new and what is being quoted.
imho, your boxing idea has merit.
