I have a client looking to have the ability to fail over to a different active directory server if the current AD server fails. I have currently set up an entry in the SQL server stating the LDAP://myldap however this is not what the client wants.
Basically they want my code to automatically find the LDAP server and use the one that is online to allow LDAP login's to occur using the DirectoryEntry class in .net
Can any one tell me if there is a way to dynamically search for the currently "online" AD server and determine the LDAP://myldap server using .net code?
Thanks in Advance

In my code i do no point to a any certain DC I actualy replace the DC server name with the domain name. So any time i do a LDAP query it automaticly forwards my queries/binds to the least busy DC.

You can try LDAP://rootDSE.
